Elsa & Timmy
Elsa (black and white) and Timmy (tabby) are not related but they behave like mom and son. Both were found at different times in the yards of apartment buildings.
Timmy arrived at the shelter together with his mom and sibilings in November 2021 when he was only 2-month-old. His family member found homes quickly but sadly Timmy was left alone, as he was the shyest kitten and always hiding behind other cats or sitting on top of the cages.
In May 2022, pregnant Elsa came to the shelter. All her kittens found homes, leaving only Elsa behind. Mommy cat Elsa quickly took in Timmy as her own son and these two have been inseparable since.
Timmy is an active, playful but very shy boy. While Elsa is a calm, gentle cat mommy cat that loves being pet by humans. We tried to let Timmy live alone in at a foster but he was meowing and crying a lot, which eventually we decided to bring him back to the shelter. In the shelter Elsa takes care of him, grooms him, and they are always being spotted sharing the same cat beds no matter when you walk into the cat room. We know it might be difficult to find home for a pair of cats at the same time, but Timmy will enjoy a much happy, content and decent life with Elsa next to him. Therefore, we hope these two can ultimately be adopted together.
In a recent checkup (September 2024) the shelter discovered that Elsa has some kidney issues. There’s no emergency nor immediate risks to her health, but she will need medication, special diet, and constant hydration to stay healthy in long term. If you’d like to understand more about Elsa’s condition, please consult with our coordinators who will be happy to share more info and caring advice with you.
The adoption fee for Elsa & Timmy together is €480,-
