Foster

Fostering pets, whether dogs or cats, is a wonderful way to make a positive impact on the lives of animals in need and one of the most rewarding experiences you can have.

Foster

We need you!

What does it involve?

  • If you are willing to commit to fostering a pet in need for three months or more, we would love to talk to you! While the average stay for our foster pets is often shorter than this, it’s important to provide stability for our rescue animals, so we ask that you be prepared for a longer commitment if necessary.
  • We ask our foster carers to provide for the rescue’s day to day needs, such as food, water, shelter, exercise, flea and worm treatment, and be ready to cover any potential vet visits and medical expenses. Alternatively, considering the option of acquiring pet insurance to address these expenses is also an option. Essentially, you will treat the animal as if they were your own pet while they are in your home.
  • We aim to make fostering an enjoyable experience for you and your foster pet. Our Intakes Coordinators and Managers are available to offer support and advice whenever needed. In return, we hope that your fostering experience will inspire you to continue fostering again (and again!).
  • If you are ready to make a difference and become a foster for a cat or a dog, please complete our application form (foster a cat or foster a dog), and one of our Intakes Coordinators will be in touch with you soon!

Pets available for fostering

These are some of the pets that are currently in our Lithuanian partner shelters, dreaming of their forever home. Fostering the cats and dogs that have been waiting for a long time can give them a better chance of being adopted.
