Meet the cutest Daredevil!🐶 Galstas is blind, and unfortunately, his eyesight cannot be restored😢 His world is made up of scents, touches, and echoes of sound. Galstas has already learned to live without sight. He explores his surroundings slowly, walks on a leash, and listens carefully to the person beside him. Apart from his unique feature—blindness—Galstas is an easy dog!

He is peaceful, gets along with most dogs🐕‍🦺, and shows no aggression toward cats🐈‍⬛. He is stable and friendly with all people, not afraid of touch, and gladly waits for gentle pets and cuddles❤️

He still needs a bit of practice with house training, but he has already had several visits to the spa. His coat is impressively beautiful, soft, and silky, but it requires care and regular brushing. Luckily, Galstas is the perfect client—he doesn’t resist baths or nail trimming. His coat grows long, so groomers just need to decide what style to give him!

He came to the shelter in October 2024 after being found wandering in the Lazdijai district. His owners were never found 😞

Adopting a blind dog may not be as difficult as it seems. It just requires a few key things: a stable environment, clear sound cues (like “here,” “careful,” “stop”), and, of course, love🩵

During the first few weeks, he’ll need time to get to know his new home and learn his routes, but a blind dog can adapt remarkably well. He relies strongly on hearing, smell, and touch, and can create a mental map of his surroundings—allowing him to feel safe and live a full, happy life 🏡
