Meet Maxima🐈‍⬛🖤🐾

In 2021, she was almost a kitten herself. Scared, hungry and pregnant, she wandered near shopping centre called Maxima looking for at least a small corner where she could safely have her kittens.

Unfortunately, she did not find a safe place in time and her little kittens couldn’t wait any longer. Five little ones saw the world on the cold ground. Four of them never had time to know life – they were swallowed by the cold💔. Only one little heart still weakly cried out for help.

That’s how they both ended up in Šiaulių letenėlė shelter. Here mama cat was named Maxima. This name will forever remind us of the day when her life almost ended, but also the day her life was saved and changed for the better❤️‍🩹.

Here is Maxima now… five years later and still in the shelter.

Five years of waiting…

During those years, hundreds of cats went to their homes, even her little kitten. Hundreds of people passed by Maxima’s cage. Some pet her, others said: “What a beautiful kitty,” and moved on.

She never asked for luxury. Just a warm home. Her own bowl. A soft bed. A person who would love her not for a week, not a month, but for a lifetime.

Maxima was born around 2020. She is a calm, gentle and incredibly sweet cat. After five years in the shelter, she still hasn’t lost hope that one day the cage door will open, not to be pet, but for her to finally go home🐈‍⬛🖤🐾.
