Monkis aka. Monkey his name for his face resembles a little monkey! He is around 4 years old and has spent time in the shelter since he was about 1.5 years old. In the beginning Monkis was too shy to even interacte with human, but with time and patience from the shelter staffs he has learned to trust human.

Though he is not the most eye-catching kitty – sharing the same room with other younger, more colorful and more playful kitties Monkis gets little attention from people who walk into the room for the dark fur he has. This doesn’t stop him from craving for love – he now loves to wait quietly next to humans, hoping that they will notice him and give him some pets. He is calm, affectionate, and a big purrer. Just a couple minutes after our volunteers walked into the cat room he has already found his space in their arms!

Monkis is not aggressive with other cats, but it’s obvious he enjoys human company more than from his feline roommates. Besides that, we believe in the home setup is where Monkis can thrive his personality and health – Monkis gets running nose frequently. Though treated and recovered multiple times in the shelter, by sharing the cat room with other dozens of cats he easily catches the virus again. We have another kitty from the shelter with same situation, and the symptoms and complaints were soon gone after he finds his very own home. We therefore hope the same happy story happens to Monkis and would love to see him finding a furever home soon!
