Once upon a time, there lived two little dogs – Pupytė (female) and Pumpurėlis (male). They lived together with their their grandmother and they all were very happy Their small world was simple, but full of love, warmth, gentle hands and quiet evenings together. They followed their grandmother everywhere and she would talk to them, pet them, keep them safe… It felt like this would last forever.

But one day their grandmother was gone. She left and never came back… Their world flipped upside-down. Their home suddenly became empty. Silent. Unfamiliar. Two little dogs were left all alone. That’s how in the autumn of 2025 Pupytė and Pumpurėlis ended up in a shelter.

Now they are both around 11 years old. Senior dogs – calm, gentle, incredibly kind. Small, both around 10 kg (Pumpurėlis – 10,5 kg, Pupytė – 9,2kg), quietly longing for warmth and love.

They are two and that is their strength… and their hardship. Finding a home for two senior dogs is very difficult. They cannot be separated, because in this big world all they have now is each other.

Pupytė and Pumpurėlis are still waiting. Maybe not for a miracle, but for someone who will love them the way their grandmother once did.
