Three years ago, four sisters arrived at the shelter. Three have been adopted a long time ago. But not Ruby… she is still waiting😿.

Ruby and her sisters arrived at the shelter as 5 moths old kittens. Small, timid, just starting to discover the world. After her sisters got adopted, it seemed that Ruby won’t need to wait long for a home. But days turned into weeks. Weeks turned into months. Months turned into years. Today, Ruby has been living in the shelter for 3 years.

Why? Not because she is not cute. Not because she doesn’t know how to love. Unfortunately for Ruby, she is a shy and reserved cat.

If you come to visit the shelter, Ruby won’t be the one to rush to meet you. She won’t rub against your legs, ask for petting or try to get your attention at any cost. She will choose a quiet corner and observe.

At first glance, she seems arrogant. Maybe even a little grumpy. Like a little
tabby Ice Queen🌬️🐾

But under that serious look, there’s a cat, that just needs more time and patience to trust people. When she realizes she’s safe, she slowly opens up and starts to trust. That trust becomes the most beautiful gift💝.

We would really like for Ruby to celebrate her next birthday not in a shelter, but in her OWN home with her person🏠💞

Ruby was born in 2023. She micro-chipped, vaccinated and sterilized.
