When Suris came to the shelter, he was only 1 year old. He was born in 2020. It would seem that such a cute little guy would definitely be noticed.
But no…

Suris is shy. He is not the first cat to run up to a stranger, sit on your lap and immediately start purring. He gets scared of a new person, so he often chooses a safe place higher up and quietly observes the entire life of the shelter from there. 🥺

And so, year after year, he is still here.

He even found a home, but he was returned. Allegedly because he fought with another cat.

We can say 100% – it was definitely not Suris’ fault. He lives among many cats at the shelter and in all these years he has NEVER been the cat who started fights. On the contrary – if there is cat drama somewhere, Suris will rather avoid it, climb up on a shelf, sit down and watch everything from a safe distance. 😀🐱

He is calm. Good. Just shy.

And maybe that is why no one has chosen him for so long… Because he needs a little more time to get used to new things. Maybe it will take a week. Maybe two. Maybe more.

But when Suris gets to know you, when he understands that you will not hurt him and that he is finally in a home where he is safe – then his true character will be revealed. ❤️
