Trixie
Trixie was abandoned at a local cat feeding site at about 2 months age. But don’t fret! She was so confident and independent that she immediately inserted herself into the colony of grownups.
However, after a while, the caretaker noticed she was getting sick… With the help of a local shelter, Trixie was taken to the clinic and bounced back quickly. Yet during the check she was tested positive with Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) – a viral infectious virus among cats. Despite the name might sound scary, cats with FeLV can still live a long and content life with more love and patience from the owner. A stress-free environment and healthy diet will support her health in long term, which is why we really hope to find Trixie a loving home where she doesn’t need to compete for attention with other cats.
Trixie is now about 2 years old and is living a happy and healthy life, not letting the FeLV+ stop her from being the best of herself. She is very active, friendly and gets along with others cats and enjoys human companion. Even though her life expectancy is lower with FeLV, she deserves to have the best life as much as any cat!
At the moment Trixie is feeling well and has a long life ahead of her. If you have the space in your home and in your heart for this lovely tabby girl, please consult with our coordinators for caring advice of FeLV+ cats. We along with the shelter will be more than happy to share more info with you.
The adoption fee for Trixie is €280,-
