FIV+ but in good health condition. Stress-free home environment with nutritious diet can further support his immune system in long term.

Barny started his life in a busy and chaotic family, which sadly couldn’t provide Barny with the safety and security he needs. After Barny’s multiple attempts to escape from the family he was placed into foster care, where he finally started to decompress with the help of other feline friends.

Like other young cats of his age, Barny is friendly, energetic, playful and loves having fun. Still, with the past experience in the chaotic family he could still get scared of loud noises or busy surroundings. We are therefore looking for a relatively quiet household with enough space and predictable routines, as those are how Barny finds his sense of security and really can be his playful self.

Barny has been tested positive with Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), which is a common and infectious virus among cats. Despite the name might sound scary FIV+ kitties can still live a long life without symptoms with the right cares and attention. Among all tactics, stress-free environment and nutritious diet are the key. We therefore hope Barny can have his very own home without the stress he might receive from other cats or changing of foster friends.

FIV is mostly transmitted via aggressive bites or fights between cats which in this sense, Barny can share a household with non-infected cats as long as they are friendly and non-dominant. But we would still suggest Barny to either be the only cat in the household or with other FIV+ cats to be very sure. He also needs to be a 100% indoor cat.

The adoption fee for Barny is €280,-
